Leadership
PRINCIPALS
Four principals bring complementary strengths.
The platform draws on robust medical and clinical depth, business acumen, financial judgment, and legal rigor in equal measure. Each principal contributes a different lens, and every deal we sponsor reflects all four.
Matthew C. Ercolani, MD
PRINCIPAL
Matt has been a principal on every Telperion Partners investment, beginning with Auris Health in 2017. He brings clinical depth to diligence that capital alone cannot replicate. Most of the platform's investments are in technologies Matt could plausibly use, train others on, or evaluate from direct surgical experience.
He serves as managing member of Telperion Manager LLC and Athelas Manager LLC, and as a board director of Rivermark Medical. Alongside the other principals, Matt holds board observer rights at nearly every portfolio company.
Matt is a board-certified urologist and a Fellow of the American Board of Urology and the American College of Surgeons, with active surgical privileges across eight hospitals in Florida and California. He is the founder of Elite Robotic Surgical Consultants and is an early advisor to several medical device and pathology companies. He serves as a key opinion leader for Intuitive Surgical, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Teleflex / Neotract, UroMedica, and others. He is the lead U.S. trainer for the ProACT system.
